Year 9 History Krakow Trip
72 Hours in Krakow: An Unforgettable Journey for Year 9
During the Easter holidays, a group of fantastic Year 9s visited Krakow, Poland. It was a non stop 72 hours where over 50,000 steps were walked and a multitude of places visited. From Auschwitz and Plaszow, to Wieliczka Salt Mines the Wawel Castle. Students were brilliant, and particularly impressive when they listened to an hours talk from a Holocaust survivor - Rena - and asked questions for 45 minutes.
These photos were taken by the students on the Trip camera. Robert the Bear joined them as they visited some incredibly poignant places.
A huge thank you to the staff who made this trip possible and to Friends of RMS for funding the camera that allowed the students to document their own experiences. Also, thank you to our tour guides from Anglia Tours (see photo).
