Author Visit - Ali Sparkes

Author Ali Sparkes Inspires Year 6 & 7 Readers at RMS!

On the final day of term, Robert May’s School had the absolute pleasure of welcoming award-winning children's author Ali Sparkes for an unforgettable visit with our Year 7 students and visiting Year 6 pupils from Mayhill Junior School!

As always, Ali delivered an amazingly energetic, exciting, and engaging talk that had the entire audience hooked from start to finish. Her passion for storytelling clearly resonated with the students, who enthusiastically took part, asked great questions, and left inspired to dive into new reading adventures.

The excitement carried right over to the library, where book sales broke previous records—our school library sold more copies of Ali’s books than during any of her previous visits!

A Huge Thank You to FoRMS

We would like to extend a massive thank you to the Friends of Robert May’s School (FoRMS) for generously funding this experience for our students. Author visits like this play a vital role in nurturing a lifelong love for reading, and we are incredibly grateful for FoRMS' continued support in making these opportunities possible.

Thank you to Ali Sparkes for a brilliant visit, and well done to all our Year 6 and 7 students for being such a fantastic audience!
