Leaver's Ball 2026
Year 11 Celebrates in Style at Spectacular Leavers’ Ball
On Thursday 25th June, the Year 11 students of Robert May’s School officially marked the end of an era with their highly anticipated Leavers’ Ball. Hosted at the stunning De Vere Wokefield Estate, the evening was a spectacular celebration of the students’ hard work, resilience, and achievements over the past five years.
A Grand Arrival
The Class of 2026 certainly "scrubbed up well," trading their school uniforms for glamorous evening gowns and sharp suits. True to tradition, the arrivals were a show-stopping event in themselves, featuring a spectacular and eccentric array of transport modes. Crowds gathered to watch students arrive in everything from:
- A vibrant pink limousine
- An army truck
- An impressive fleet of roaring motorbikes
- A beautifully restored classic Volkswagen Beetle
- An authentic American police car
- A stunning lineup of sports cars
Dancing the Night Away
After months of intensive studying and tackling their GCSE exams, the night provided a well-deserved opportunity to let their hair down. Students and staff enjoyed a brilliant evening of dining, reflection, and dancing the night away on a packed dance floor.
The atmosphere was an emotional mix of joy and nostalgia. For tutors and students alike, the evening marked a poignant goodbye, closing a significant chapter of their lives.
A message to the Year 11's: The world is your oyster! Go out into the world, applying the character values you learned here at Robert May’s School. Remember, be an upstander, not a bystander!
As these young people head off to their next steps—whether that be college, apprenticeships, or the world of work—the school community wishes them all the very best. Good luck to the Class of 2026 on your next great adventures!
