Year 10 Silver DofE Practice Walk
Silver DofE Students Conquer Scorching Practice Walk
From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May, while the rest of the school community enjoyed the long and sunny weekend, our Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award students were putting their navigation and campcraft skills to the test.
The students traveled to the Sustainability Centre in the South Downs National Park for their official Practice Walk. Despite facing very hot and demanding weather conditions across the weekend, the students showed immense resilience and determination.
What stood out most to the supervising staff was their exceptional teamwork. It was wonderful to see the groups working cohesively together, getting to know each other better, and offering mutual support through the toughest miles of the practice.
They are an absolute credit to Robert May's School. A huge well done to everyone involved, and roll on the real Qualifying Expedition in just a few weeks!
