Year 9s exploring town planning

Ms Webb's Year 9 Maths class recently completed the 3D shapes unit which included understanding plans and elevations. 

Just before half term, to bring the unit to a close, the students built their own towns with these skills in mind.

There were some very creative towns from future utopias to nuclear wastelands. They discussed the strengths of their towns with other teams. We then talked about careers out there that use these skills such as architecture and town planning.
