Intermediate Maths Challenge
Intermediate Maths Challenge Success
We would like to say a big thank you to the 95 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 that participated in this year's Intermediate Maths Challenge. This is a lovely opportunity to take part in a national competition, along with around 250,000 other students across the country, that stretches Students' mathematical thinking in a 60 minute challenge. Hopefully you all enjoyed it!
We have yet again had some really great results with 51 students receiving a bronze, silver or gold award. Of these, there were 4 gold awards, 17 silver awards and 30 bronze awards. Congratulations go to Noah H, as 'Best in Year 9', Arthur S and Daniel W as joint 'Best in Year 10' and Anna E as 'Best in Year 11'.
A special mention must go to Noah H, a Year 9 student that achieved 'Best in School', which is just a fantastic result for a student competing against Year 10 and Year 11 students. Well done, Noah! Noah proceeds through to the competition's follow-on round in March, along with Arthur S and Daniel W from Year 10. Congratulations to all three of you.
