Book Club Visit to Odiham Book Exchange
RMS Book Club Inspires Local Readers with Odiham Visit
Last Thursday (22nd January), members of the Robert May’s School Book Club stepped out into the local community for an inspiring visit to the Odiham Book Exchange.
The trip provided a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with the local literary scene and learn about the history of this unique community hub. During the visit, volunteers at the Exchange explained how the initiative first began and discussed the vital role it plays in bringing people together through a shared love of reading.
Our students weren't just there to browse; they were eager to contribute. As part of a collaborative project for the Exchange’s next display, each Book Club member selected a personal favorite and summarised its essence using just three words on a custom bookmark.
These recommendations will soon be on display at the Exchange, aimed at inspiring other young readers in the village with peer-to-peer suggestions.
Well done to all the Book Club members who represented the school with such enthusiasm and community spirit!
