Welcome to the RMS Parent Teacher Friends Association page where you can find out more about what the PTFA does in school, events you can attend and ways you can help.

We have an active PTFA which raises around £20,000 each year. Departments are able to apply for funds from the PTFA and we meet regularly to approve these requests.  We have recently approved large requests for additional laptops, chrome books, PE equipment and a large hall projector. Most departments are allocated some money for smaller pieces of equipment or resources each year. In addition, we have supported the annual school production, the rock challenge team and have funded cheerleading uniforms for competition

The PTFA run a uniform service providing a quick and convenient way for uniform to be purchased throughout the year via an online order system. This is a huge task run by volunteers who give their time freely to run the service. All surplus income is donated to the school to purchase additional resources for the students, which would otherwise not be available.

New uniform items can be ordered directly from the PTFA online shop: https://www.rmspta.co.uk/. Your order will be acknowledged, and you will be notified by email when an item is ready for collection.  Collection of your order can be made during any first break by students only, from the Uniform office located by the Astro pitches.

We also hold second-hand uniform sales and have a selection of pre-loved school uniform for sale at bargain prices. Second hand sale dates are advertised in the Parent Bulletin. Find us in the green container near to the Astro pitches. Cash or cheque only please, payable to RMS PTFA.

We are happy to receive donations of good quality unwanted RMS uniform and PE kit. Simply hand to the school office during term time in a bag labelled “2nd hand sales”. Please help us by donating laundered items only.

All profits from uniform sales go towards school funds.

As well as selling uniform we hold fund raising events during the year, as volunteer numbers allow. Our recent fund-raising event was a successful and highly enjoyable Bingo & Curry evening.

The PTFA also supports the school by providing refreshments at the annual school production, performances, concerts and parents’ evenings throughout the year. We always welcome and appreciate new people willing to help out at these events.

Want To Help?

Our committee meets once or twice a term in the evening and the meetings are lively and informative. If you want to get involved to help the school, you can join the committee at any time in the year. If you can’t commit to that but still want to help out, we always need extra help for events and uniform sales.
